About Nishanth
Hi, I’m Nishanth! I am an Accounting & Finance university student and an experienced STEM tutor. I achieved Grade 9s across all my GCSE Sciences and Maths, followed by straight A grades at A-Level (Maths, Biology, Chemistry) and an A in AS Physics. As an experienced educator who has worked formally as a tutor for Kumon and managed my own private tutoring clients, I know exactly how to guide students towards academic success. Having sat these exact linear exams recently, I combine my professional teaching experience with an approachable, peer-to-peer mentoring style that breaks down daunting, multi-step equations into simple, logical steps adapted to the needs of each individual child.

Who My Lessons Are For:
My lessons are specifically designed for GCSE and IGCSE students (ages 11–16) across all major UK exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR etc.). Whether a student is struggling to pass Foundation Maths, aiming to push from a Grade 6 to a Grade 9 in Triple Science, or taking on the advanced challenge of GCSE Further Mathematics, I tailor my pace entirely to their individual goals.
️ My Teaching Approach & Lesson Structure:
I offer an all-in-one STEM package as well as individual subjects. Instead of hiring separate tutors, we can focus on Chemistry one week and Further Maths algebra the next, depending on your child's upcoming school mocks or homework. My standard lessons are 60 minutes long—the absolute sweet spot for GCSE focus—and are structured around high-impact learning techniques:
- Active Recall Quiz (First 10 mins): A quick, low-stakes quiz on previous topics to lock information into long-term memory.
- Interactive Whiteboard Breakdown: We visually map out tricky concepts (like organic chemistry or circuit physics) together.
- Exam Board Mastery (Last 30 mins): We spend the majority of the lesson tackling real past paper questions. I teach students how to read mark schemes like an examiner, focusing on the exact "trigger words" needed to secure full marks.
