About Phil
I’m a Senior Lecturer in Astrophysics and Programme Leader for Physics with Astrophysics, with over 15 years of teaching experience in Maths, Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, and Cosmology at leading universities in the UK and US. My passion for science extends beyond the classroom; in my spare time, I create engaging online content to help students at all levels grasp complex concepts in a fun and accessible way. I also enjoy participating in outreach events for schools and the public, sharing my love for the universe and inspiring future scientists. Additionally, I work as a scientific adviser for popular TV science programmes and children’s books, bringing the wonders of science to a wider audience.

I adjust my teaching to each student’s unique needs, focusing on their upcoming exams. My approach prioritises understanding over memorisation, as true comprehension is key to tackling applied questions and real-world scenarios. I’ll guide you through the key concepts, making exam preparation less stressful and giving you more time for review. All sessions are recorded, allowing you to revisit the lessons at any time for both revision and safety. As a university lecturer and programme leader, I’ve worked with students at all levels, including A-levels, undergrad, and postgrad. This experience has helped me adjust my teaching to match each student’s needs, making learning more enjoyable and effective. Let's explore and deepen your understanding of the universe together.
