About Lin

I am a passionate Guitar tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, helping high school students, college students, and adults learn guitar in a clear and enjoyable way. During this time, I have successfully taught around 300 students, many of whom started as beginners and later developed confidence in playing.

My teaching philosophy is based on patience, encouragement, and simple learning methods. I believe that when students feel comfortable and supported, they learn faster and enjoy the process more.

In my lessons, I focus on building strong fundamentals such as basic chords, rhythm exercises, strumming patterns, and finger techniques. These skills help students develop better control and understanding of the instrument.

I also encourage students to learn songs they enjoy, because playing familiar music keeps them motivated and excited to practise regularly.

Teaching hundreds of students has helped me understand different learning styles. I always adjust my teaching approach to match each student’s level and goals.

Many of my students have grown confident enough to perform at school programmes and college events, which is always a proud moment for both the student and the teacher.

My goal is to help students build strong guitar skills, confidence, and a lasting love for music.

About the lesson

My teaching style for Guitar focuses on communication, adaptability, and encouraging students to learn through practical experience. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching methods according to their pace and learning style.

Students begin by learning important Guitar techniques such as chords, scales, strumming patterns, rhythm practice, and finger exercises. I explain these techniques step by step so students can clearly understand how to apply them while playing. To make lessons more interesting, I use real-life musical examples and songs to demonstrate how Guitar techniques are used in real performances.

In addition to Guitar lessons, I introduce related subjects such as basic music theory, ear training, rhythm exercises, improvisation, and songwriting. These subjects support Guitar learning and help students grow as musicians. My goal is to help students develop strong Guitar skills while enjoying the learning process.
