I have known Dr William for a number of years, going back to when I did CAIE A-Level Biology (which does have a reputation for being quite challenging!) under his tutelage a few years prior. Over the course of the 18 months that I spent in his class, he taught me not only the fundamentals of A-Level Biology, but also sowed the seeds of the scientific approach in my mind - encouraging me to ask the right questions, instead of being hyperfixated on getting to the "right" answer.
Dr William isn't afraid to teach beyond the syllabus, especially if he feels like a particular concept could be better contextualised with extra information. Yet, as comprehensive as his lessons are, his ability to present information and concepts in a simple and straightforward way is what sets him apart from the other Biology teachers I've had in the past. Also worth mentioning are the study materials he prepared from scratch - always aligned to the syllabus that we were taught, yet willing to go a little further in pursuit of clearer answers.
Beyond what he taught me in the classroom, Dr William also instilled in me a true love for Biology. It was at his firm encouragement that I mustered the confidence to participate in my country's Biology Olympiad. And while I will always appreciate his additional coaching in the build-up, it was his firm belief in my abilities as well as his dedication in going the extra mile that enabled me to go the distance at the International Olympiad.
In short, if you already like Biology to begin with, Dr William can teach you to love it.
