About Sirimon (Mint)

In regards to my teaching experience, after I graduated I was able to have the opportunity to return to my old high school where I taught the year 10, 11 and 12 students techniques of fashion drawings, pattern drafting, as well as fashion constructions, which helped them to successfully complete their NCEA level one and two assignments. I was also given the opportunity to give multiple ‘Inspirational Seminars’ about my experiences to help encourage the students to follow their passions in the Fashion & Design industry.

I have been extremely passionate about what I do (fashion) since the age of 11 and I knew I wanted to continue to motivate and inspire those who has the same passion too. I believe this makes me a great teacher as I am able to help inspire younger generations to work hard for their career goals.

I have had a vast experience working in the fashion industry which has allowed me to understand the competitiveness in the industry and what important skills you need in order to succeed in this field. I have been fortunate to have the opportunities working with Vivienne Westwood as well as Vogue Thailand. I am now currently continuing to follow my dreams and goals to become a fashion designer.

About the lesson

A BIT ABOUT ME (: - I am a young fashion professional. I graduated with 1st Class Honours in Fashion Design from New Zealand. After having finished my degree I was able to teach at my old high school in New Zealand. During my time there I taught the year 10, 11 and 12 students techniques of fashion drawings, pattern drafting, as well as fashion constructions, which helped them to successfully complete their NCEA level one and two assignments. I am now working in the fashion industry and have just finished a fashion buying internship with Vivienne Westwood. I am now hoping to go into the fashion industry more fully and grow as a designer.

I am giving lessons on fashion drawing, hand fashion illustrations and fashion pattern drafting.

I approach each lessons by understanding the project brief from the students first then together I break down the steps with them in order to accomplish the final outcome. This way the student also understand for themselves the important skills they need or will need to learn in order to complete the tasks whether that'd be designing a collection, learning fashion illustrations and/or pattern drafting.
