About Nicole
My name is Nicole de Meneses I am a freelance writer, director, producer working in the Bay Area. I make independent genre films that allow LGBTQ+ characters to be the heroes and villains of their own stories. I also run the Blood & Popcorn Film Festival in Oakland. I'm currently getting my MFA in TV & Screenwriting from Stephens College.

My methods help new writers and directors create compelling stories that they can turn into shooting scripts to make engaging films. Lessons vary on experience and interests. My films have screened internationally and won awards. My short films and feature film have been distributed and our on several platforms. I have experience working on union and non union productions. Navigating working with actors and hiring crew can be a daunting process, I will walk you through each task step by step and share the best prep and post practices to keep your film on track to have its best life.
