About Fernanda
I have over ten years of professional experience as a dancer, choreographer and somatic movement practitioner. Graduating from Trinity Laban with BA in dance theatre and Independent Dance, Siobhan Davies Dance and Trinity Laban with my MA in Creative Practice - Professional Path (gaining high Distinction) have influenced my choreography and facilitation practices though somatic enquiry and approach to embodied movement and dance. Currently finishing my training in Integrative Body Movement Therapy, I am offering sessions influenced by this approach to embodied movement and dance, involving spoken dialogue too. As a somatic movement practitioner I work with elements of movement improvisation grounded in embodied exploration.

My approach to teaching and facilitating sessions is based around a conversation that we will have in the first session where we explore what you might want to get out of the sessions. We will work with grounding into your own felt sense in stillness and in movement. Finding different ways into your moving body through spoken dialogue and movement exploration. We will work with cellular breath and sensation as well as exploring imagination connecting through different systems in our bodies into expression.
