About Amanda

I'm Amanda. I have been an English coach for over 10 years. I help individuals feel confident speaking English.

Did you know, there are an estimated 170,000 words in the English language, but you only need between 3,000 and 10,000 to hold a fluent conversation?

That's where I come in. I used to live and work in France, so I know how frustrating it is to constantly search for your words in a language that is not your native tongue.

After teaching hundreds of students, I realised one thing was missing from their English training. This was enough PRACTICE.

Imagine a musician who knows all the theory but only plays their instrument for 20 minutes a week. They probably wouldn't be great when they have to perform in public. They would feel embarrassed, nervous and probably frustrated.

Speaking English is the same. If you don't get enough practice it doesn't matter how much theory you know, you will feel unprepared when using spoken English.
