About David

I am a tenured associate professor of Finance at the John Molson School of Business. I have a PhD from UBC, an MSc from Concordia and am a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). I have over 25 years of tutoring experience and have taught finance, portfolio management, financial economics, derivatives and basic econometrics at both the undergraduate and graduate level. I'm quite comfortable explaining necessary basic math as needed including algebra, calculus or probability. I can assist with select programming languages as well

About the lesson

I'm going to focus on your comprehension and put less emphasis on memorization unless you have an immediate evaluation coming up. I believe that once you understand the principles and we work out any nervousness or misconceptions, you won't really need me anymore (and I'm perfectly OK with that). My experience is that once a student has a solid base they'll be able to build on it as they see fit and from there the sky is the limit.
