About Ethan

Throughout my whole life, I have always been passionate towards the arts. I first started looking at architecture to interior design to fine art and digital art. I encourage everyone to explore the area they are interested in and discover new areas that can peak your interest.

My friends and family describe me as down to earth, fun and passionate. A person who aways inspires, brings life to conversations and sparks curiosity towards the arts.

One of my proudest achievements is the creation of an original webcomic: Tales of Everday. The story revolves around a variety of things I am interested in and hold dear. The comic is still in the works but I am looking forward to fully releasing it in the upcoming year.

I am also aspiring to be a visual development artist, so feel free to chat about stories and characters.

About the lesson

I take on a very practical approach to teaching, providing examples and break downs to encourage and work with students. I find it key for students to be able to develop their art skills through practice and by just doing. You can never see what you are capable, if you are hesitant to begin and engage. Of course, some need some help with getting the courage to begin creating.

My primary media are painting and drawing, however I am confident to cover all areas of Fine Art and some digital arts.

Topics: fundamentals and basics of art, colour theory, creating compositions, developing artworks, art history, contemporary art, and drawing anatomy.

Media: acrylic, watercolour, pencil, charcoal, chalk, oil pastel, clay, mix media, digital drawing, and video. Some experience with print making.

Exam Boards: I have only worked with AQA and Alberta, however I am open to research and work with students in other exam boards.

Lessons typically last for an hour, however I am very flexible.
