About Arman

I am an active, First-Class BSc Economics student at Bayes Business School, City, University of London, currently balancing my academic degree with a 12-Month Corporate Finance Analyst internship. Alongside my studies, I recently placed first out of over fifty participants in my university's Bloomberg Trading Simulation and was selected for the competitive McKinsey and Company Forward business programme. These experiences have provided me with a deep, practical understanding of advanced analytical thinking, finance, and macroeconomics, which I directly apply to my teaching.
My teaching style is rooted in high-impact, peer-to-peer academic mentoring. I have extensive informal experience helping classmates and friends break down dense quantitative problems, review analytical essays, and design effective exam preparation strategies. I do not believe in dry memorisation, choosing instead to teach the underlying frameworks so that students can approach even the most unpredictable exam questions with total confidence. Because I successfully manage a rigorous degree, a corporate finance internship, and university football, I don't just tutor the subject material. I actively mentor my students in time management, high-yield exam techniques, and independent study habits to build long-term academic confidence.

About the lesson

My Economics lessons are highly structured and focused on exam success. I begin by assessing each student's current understanding to find where they are losing marks, and I then build a personalised plan to bridge those gaps. We focus intensely on mastering core Micro and Macroeconomic theory, interpreting complex data accurately, and practising past paper questions. I place a massive emphasis on essay structure, teaching students exactly how to formulate the clear, thesis-driven arguments that examiner mark schemes look for to award top grades. Having navigated rigorous academic environments myself, I ensure my students learn not just the subject matter, but also high-level time management and independent revision strategies. Each session is interactive and collaborative, providing a supportive space where students can confidently ask questions and develop strong critical thinking habits.
