About Eleanor

I am a third-year biomedical sciences student with extensive research experience gained during my placement year in microbiology and materials science laboratories. I have a strong passion for science and education, which is reflected in my previous tutoring experience helping GCSE and A-Level students improve their understanding and exam performance. Currently, I work as an academic support worker within a university setting, providing one-to-one guidance and study skills support to fellow students. Outside of academia, I am deeply involved in competitive powerlifting—ranked tenth nationally in my weight class—and I coach and manage a powerlifting team. This balance of academic excellence and high-level athletic coaching allows me to bring discipline, motivation, and a supportive attitude into all my tutoring sessions.

About the lesson

I believe learning is most effective when it’s engaging, clear, and tailored to each student’s individual needs. My tutoring sessions focus on building strong foundational knowledge while developing problem-solving skills through interactive explanations, practical examples, and regular practice questions. As a third-year biomedical sciences student with first-class honours, I have hands-on experience from my placement year working in microbiology and materials science labs.
