About Chloe
With a First-Class BA (Hons) in Criminology and an MA in Criminology with Distinction, I have a strong academic background and a genuine passion for criminology and research.
Throughout my studies, I developed extensive experience in critical analysis, academic writing, research methods and evaluating complex criminological theories and evidence. I have also undertaken independent postgraduate research into online misogyny and incel culture, allowing me to develop particular expertise in areas including feminist criminology, gender-based harm, online communities and cultural criminology.
Alongside my academic experience, I have volunteered with St Giles as a CIRV volunteer, supporting young people who are at risk of, or have already entered, the criminal justice system. This has given me valuable insight into the realities of crime, criminal justice and working with individuals from different backgrounds.
I understand that asking for help with your studies can sometimes feel daunting, so I aim to create a relaxed, welcoming and judgement-free learning environment. Whether you need help understanding a difficult theory, preparing an assignment, improving your academic writing or developing your confidence, I will work with you at your own pace and tailor lessons to your individual needs.
My goal is not simply to help you achieve a better grade, but to help you become a more confident, independent learner who understands how to approach criminological study effectively.

I believe the best tutoring is personalised, supportive and focused on helping students genuinely understand a subject rather than simply memorising information. My approach is friendly and encouraging, and I adapt each lesson to the student’s individual level, learning style and goals.
As a First-Class BA (Hons) Criminology graduate and MA Criminology graduate with Distinction, I have developed strong knowledge across a wide range of criminological topics, alongside extensive experience in academic research, critical analysis and academic writing. My own postgraduate research focused on the rise of online misogyny and incel culture, giving me particular experience in feminist criminology, gender-based harm, online crime and cultural criminology.
Lessons can cover specific criminology topics, help with understanding difficult theories and concepts, essay planning and structure, critical thinking, academic writing, research methods, literature reviews and dissertation support. I can also help students develop confidence in analysing academic sources and constructing strong arguments.
I use a combination of discussion, questioning, examples and practical exercises to make lessons engaging and relevant. Rather than simply giving students the answers, I encourage them to develop their own understanding and confidence so they can apply what they learn independently.
Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although this can be adapted depending on the student’s needs. I offer online tutoring for students from GCSE and A-Level through to undergraduate and postgraduate level, and I am happy to work with students who simply want to improve their understanding, as well as those preparing for exams, assignments or dissertations.
Whether you are struggling with a particular criminology topic or looking to take your academic work to the next level, I aim to provide a relaxed, supportive environment where you can ask questions, develop your skills and feel more confident in your abilities.
