About Dila

My name is Dila Yalman, a First-Class Graduate in Economics from the University of Edinburgh, working in Digital & Technology at a leading company. Academically, I have robust knowledge in economics, econometrics, statistics, and math, having tutored various economics courses with excellent student outcomes. Through roles managing an economics publication and an NGO, I’ve honed skills in team leadership, writing development, and communicating complex ideas clearly. With my diverse background enabling me to thrive in dynamic environments, I am passionate about helping you succeed through customised teaching methods tailored to your needs. About the lesson

As well as gaining a first-class degree in Economics MA, I have 2+ years of tutoring in Microeconomics, Econometrics, Industrial & Financial Economics, with my students going on to achieve premium grades and gaining confidence in exam conditions. I ensure I use a variety of digital tools and techniques to engage my pupils and make sure their requirements are being met. My lessons are engaging and use a blended approach. The whiteboard-style lessons allow for approaching content in a bespoke way. Knowledge-based lessons are interactive, pulling from course content and extended content, where necessary. Exam-prep lessons focus on exam technique, questions and approach. The lessons can range from 45mins to 1.5 hours depending on student's needs. Currently I work in Digital & Technology for a world-leading FMCG company and have 2+ years tutoring in Economics. I have a DBS Certificate and have experience tutoring A-level, IB, Bachelors to Masters.
