About Clara

I have a first-class BSc (Hons) in Health & Exercise Science from SETU and am currently studying an MSc in Clinical Measurement Physiology at ATU Sligo. Alongside my studies, I have experience working as a fitness coach, where I enjoy helping people understand exercise and apply it to their own health and well-being.

I have a particular interest in the relationship between exercise, physical activity and health, including exercise for older adults, chronic disease and healthy aging. I enjoy taking what I have learned through my studies and practical experience and making it easier for others to understand.

I have always enjoyed helping and teaching others, and one of my long-term goals is to work in education and eventually become a lecturer. Tutoring is something I would really enjoy as an opportunity to develop my teaching skills while helping other students feel more confident in their studies.

My aim is to provide relaxed, supportive online sessions where students can ask questions, work through topics they find difficult and gain a better understanding of the subject.

About the lesson

I offer online tutoring in Health and Exercise Science, with a particular focus on the health and clinical applications of exercise.

I can help undergraduate students with topics such as exercise physiology, exercise as medicine, exercise prescription, exercise for chronic disease and health conditions, exercise for older adults, physical activity and health, fitness testing, anatomy and physiology, and research methods.

Lessons are tailored to the topics you are currently studying and the areas you find most difficult. You can send me the specific topic, lecture notes or course material beforehand so I can make sure I am best placed to help.

During each session, we will break down difficult concepts, work through questions and apply the theory to practical health and exercise scenarios, with the aim of helping you genuinely understand the material rather than simply memorising it.

I have a first-class BSc (Hons) in Health & Exercise Science and am currently studying an MSc in Clinical Measurement Physiology. My particular interests are the role of exercise in health, disease prevention, chronic disease management and healthy ageing.
