I am a First-Class Mathematics graduate from Liverpool John Moores University, offering personalised 1-to-1 GCSE Maths tuition online.
I believe the best way to learn mathematics is to understand why a method works, rather than simply memorising a set of steps. My lessons are therefore tailored to each student, focusing on the areas they find most challenging and building their confidence alongside their mathematical ability.
Whether a student is struggling with particular topics, preparing for GCSE exams, or aiming to push their grade higher, I will structure each lesson around their individual goals and needs.

How my lessons work Before each lesson, I will identify the topics and areas that would be most valuable for the student to work on.
We can then use the session to:
* Identify gaps in understanding
* Break difficult topics down into manageable steps
* Work through problems together
* Develop exam technique and problem-solving skills
* Practise applying mathematical ideas independently
* Review mistakes and understand how to avoid them
* Build confidence with the topics the student finds most difficult
I don’t want students to simply learn how to get an answer. I want them to understand the mathematics behind it so they can approach unfamiliar questions with confidence.
