About Emma
Hi, I’m Emma. I’m a 46-year-old mother of two and a First-Class Psychology graduate from the Open University. My journey into tutoring really began at home; I spent years helping my own children navigate the pressures of their GCSEs and A-Levels, coaching them through the stress, the heavy workloads, and the exam prep.
That experience, combined with my own academic journey as a mature student, made me realise how much I love watching that 'lightbulb moment' happen for someone struggling with a difficult topic. I want to teach because I know firsthand how overwhelming academic pressure can feel for students and parents alike. My goal is to break down complex psychology concepts into manageable, bite-sized pieces, build my students' confidence, and give them the exact essay-writing tools they need to succeed without the burnout."
