About Kai

I am currently a student at the University of Nottingham, speaking Spanish for over a decade, beginning my studies in school and also independetly at home, continuing to develop my fluency through both academic work and real-world immersion. My passion for Spanish deepened significantly during the time I lived in Spain, where daily interactions, studying and cultural immersion helped me reach a fluent level of proficiency. This experience enables me to teach Spanish not just as a subject, but as a living language shaped by authentic communication and cultural context. I am enthusiastic about helping students build confidence and make tangible progress in their language learning. My academic background gives me a strong foundation in Spanish grammar, literature, and linguistics, while my personal and professional experience ensures I can create engaging, relatable, and culturally rich lessons tailored to each learner’s goals.

About the lesson

My Tutoring Approach My lessons are designed to help students build real confidence in Spanish through structure, immersion, and fun. Each session is an hour and tailored to the needs, level, and goals of the learner. Teaching Methodology & Techniques Vocabulary First Approach Every lesson starts with a quick 20-word vocabulary test, helping students steadily build a strong, active word bank. Vocabulary is the foundation of fluency, and this routine boosts memory, confidence, and long-term retention. Learning Through Immersion I believe language learning should be enjoyable, so I use music, films, TV clips, and cultural moments to bring Spanish to life. This helps students hear natural accents, pick up expressions, and stay motivated. I encourage students to take handwritten notes and complete written exercises, as writing activates memory pathways that improve accuracy in grammar, spelling, and sentence structure—especially important for exam students.
