About Christina

I am an outgoing person, currently on my PhD investigating Parkinson's disease. During my free time (when I am lucky to get any) I love to exercise, meet new people, learn new things, cook, teach and help other students and if I am really lucky...TRAVEL!!
As a PhD student I got the chance to train master students in the lab as well as help them with a few of their assignments which has really inspired me to expanding my horizons and why not teach/ help more students!

About the lesson

As a BSc and MSc graduate I had the chance to be taught by many professors, each with their own teaching methodology. Through this experience, I realised that not every method is suitable for every student which is what I will always have in mind when tutoring. I would like to start off the lesson by breaking the ice and getting to know the student and then focusing on what the student needs - even if it is just help with homework, revising for a test/exam, help with an assignment. And then of course, I aim to focus the lesson on the type of help the student needs. Finally, I would like students to feel comfortable with me and let me know if my methodology does not work for them; I am always willing to change my methodology depending on each student's needs.
I am open to teaching anyone from high school (IGCSE, Alevels) to first year BSc students.
