About Violet
If you’re nervous to start lessons, know that I’m here to support your progress. Not to expect you to catch on quick or play perfect. Progress is a process, and you can’t rush that. Rhythm never came easy to me. I always struggled terribly with my limb independence and gaining any kind of coordination took a lot longer than I’d like to admit- But to pursue something you love takes grit. Drumming is called a passion for a reason! So, if you’re passionate and wanting to get the skills to play how you dream to play, start here. I’d be happy to be your guide!

While I specialize in Jazz, I play a multitude of genres. If Jazz isn’t fully your thing then don’t worry!
My favorite aspect about the drum set is its versatility. You’re never confined to one voice playing the set. You could get hired to swing to a bop tune, make a party dance to cumbia, or get crowds riled rocking to the foo fighters all within the same weekend-! I play to get involved in every aspect of music. If you resonate with that, then I’d be a great fit!
I teach anywhere from Beginner, Intermediate, to Slightly Advanced. I say slightly advanced as I’m no professor of course- But, I play, pursue, and teach for the love of the drums! Thanks for reading and if you’re any interested, reach out!
