About Mary

Dia daoibh! My name is Mary and I’m a recent Trinity College Dublin graduate in Earth System Science and a fluent Irish speaker. I’ve always had a strong interest in the Irish language and understand how challenging it can feel for students when preparing for exams.

I enjoy helping others feel more confident in subjects they may struggle with, and I’m passionate about making learning feel less stressful and more approachable. My background in Grade 10 Speech and Drama has also helped me develop strong communication skills, particularly for oral exam preparation.

I’m patient, friendly and organized, and I aim to create a supportive environment where students can build confidence and improve at their own pace

About the lesson

Dia daoibh! I’m a recent Trinity College Dublin graduate and fluent Irish speaker offering grinds for Junior Cycle and Leaving Cert students. My lessons are tailored to each student depending on whether they need help with oral preparation, essays, grammar, poetry/prose revision, listening comprehension or general confidence in speaking Irish.

I know Irish can feel intimidating for many students, so I focus on making lessons supportive, structured and relaxed. I break down difficult topics clearly and help students build confidence step by step.

I also completed Grade 10 Speech and Drama, which has helped me develop strong communication skills and confidence when teaching oral exam preparation. Lessons are available online or in Dublin, and typically last 1 hour.
