I combine language learning with real-world insights, drawing on my upbringing in Japan and professional background as a former Japanese travel specialist and tour manager. My lessons go beyond the textbook: I weave in culture, food, geography, and local customs to create an immersive and engaging learning experience. Lessons are typically 60 minutes, and I’m happy to adjust the format to suit your needs and pace. In addition to language-focused classes, I also offer Japan travel and geography sessions — perfect for those not looking to learn the language but who want to explore Japan with depth and confidence. As a geography enthusiast and experienced traveller, I can help you discover off-the-beaten-track destinations, regional highlights, and practical travel advice you won’t find in guidebooks. I’ve taught students from diverse backgrounds, and I currently serve as an EIKEN English oral test examiner, giving me strong insight into how to guide learners of all levels. My lessons are ideal for: Beginners and intermediate learners of Japanese Travellers or expats preparing to visit or live in Japan Business professionals needing cultural context Geography lovers and culturally curious individuals Whatever your interest in Japan may be, I’ll help you connect with the country in a personal and meaningful way.
