About Sophia
¡Hola! My name is Sophia, I am half Spanish on my mother’s side and have spoken it fluently all my life, regularly travelling to see my family in Spain while living in London. I am now currently studying law at Bristol university.
Throughout secondary school, I assisted at a Spanish GCSE intervention, helping my peers with Spanish revision, and I realised that I wanted to continue tutoring, having seen the positive impact I had had on their Spanish ability. I have learned some great revision and studying techniques from my time at school learning languages, as well as from when I was attending a class outside of school in order to sit my C1 exam, (a qualification equivalent to higher than an A level.) I’d love to share my successful learning methods with students currently studying Spanish, Spanish speakers looking to become more fluent, or someone just beginning to learn, to help them reach that next level!

Whether you need help with exam revision, speaking, writing or grammar, or you simply want to improve or learn Spanish from scratch, I am the tutor for you! I know the techniques that examiners are on the lookout for, having myself received a 9 in my Spanish GCSE, and will happily teach and practice any area of the subject that is requested.
I will start off by conducting a quick survey of the areas of Spanish that you would like to cover in our sessions, in order to create an effective lesson plan that I believe will suit you the best and will allow you to get the most out of your tutoring experience!
