About Rosa
I am a native spanish speaker. Growing up, I learned to speak, write and read in Spanish first. I moved to the US when I was 5 years old. I learned English in public school. I remember feeling lost at first because I didn’t know any English ! However I picked it up fast because I began enjoying movies and books in English and connecting them to my life which made it easier for me. I was not allowed to speak English at home, to my parents it was very important to conserve my Spanish. I studied at Cal State East Bay and received a bachelors in English education. I aspire to teach English literature.
