About Sloane
I am a dedicated Flute tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience. I teach School students, College students, and working professionals who want to learn flute in a clear and organised manner. My aim is to help students gain confidence and enjoy the learning process.
My teaching approach focuses on building strong fundamentals. I train students in proper posture, breathing techniques, finger coordination, tone control, rhythm accuracy, and musical expression. Each lesson is planned according to the student’s level and learning speed.
I believe clear communication plays an important role in learning music. I explain techniques in simple language and provide demonstrations during class. Accountability is maintained through regular practice plans and progress checks. I teach with integrity by giving honest feedback and constant encouragement.
In addition to flute lessons, I also teach music theory, notation reading, rhythm exercises, and basic performance skills. I assist students in preparing for exams, auditions, and stage performances.
My unique strength is my patient and supportive teaching style. I create a disciplined yet friendly learning environment where students feel comfortable and motivated.

My flute teaching methodology focuses on Communication, Creativity, and Flexibility, offering students a complete, adaptive, and inspiring learning experience. I begin by understanding each student’s skill level, goals, and learning preferences to create lessons tailored to their individual needs.
Communication is central—I explain techniques such as posture, breath control, fingering, articulation, phrasing, and sight-reading clearly and step-by-step. Students are encouraged to ask questions, provide feedback, and actively participate, building confidence and engagement throughout their learning.
Creativity is at the core of my approach. Students explore improvisation, develop personal interpretations of pieces, and engage in composition and expression exercises, fostering both technical mastery and artistic identity. Flexibility allows lessons to be adjusted based on the student’s pace, interests, and challenges, ensuring steady progress and motivation.
In addition to flute instruction, I include music theory, rhythm exercises, sight-reading, and ear training to develop well-rounded musicianship. My methodology ensures students gain technical skill, expressive performance abilities, and confidence, while cultivating a lifelong love for music and a meaningful, personal connection to their instrument.
