About Nina
Across nine years of formal instruction I have trained 400 students, many preparing for demanding academic examinations, professional certification, or competitive university language requirements at a genuinely high level. My own academic training was rigorous and traditional, and I believe that structure, precisely applied, produces more reliable fluency than loose conversational practice alone ever manages to achieve consistently. My Spanish teaching follows a formal, carefully mapped curriculum, since I have found unstructured conversational practice alone rarely produces the precise fluency serious students genuinely require for real assessment. Every lesson begins with a review of previously assigned grammar, tested formally, before any new content is introduced to the student at all during that particular session. Vocabulary is delivered in structured, sequenced units, each building deliberately on the last, rather than arriving in a loose, casual, conversational manner chosen at random. I correct grammar immediately and precisely, since allowing an error to pass unaddressed teaches the incorrect structure.
