About Arpita
I am an economist by profession (PhD) and love to teach. Engaging with students tends to be the best part of my day. I hope to provide a supportive space for you to acquire the necessary skills and excel at them. I have taught different economics subjects at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels - microeconomics, econometrics, labour economics, macroeconomics, probability and statistics, and development economics. Having worked with students from diverse backgrounds, I am adept at tailoring lessons based on individual needs of students. I have the analytical and technical expertise to design tests and learning assignments that engage and challenge students in order to improve their knowledge and skills. I am also mindful of different learning requirements and capabilities and take this into account when planning lessons.

I provide the space for a student to learn concepts at a pace that is most suitable for them with plenty of examples and practice questions. I use frequent assessments (quizzes and homework) as a way to measure progress in the course. I also create short video tutorials that can help students revise concepts in their own time. There is significant evidence that shows video tutorials augment classroom learning and improve student performance.
