About Todd
*I have served in a variety of academic roles at two large (> 25,000 students) universities, including: full professor, associate dean of research, head of a department, and principal investigator at a national center of research excellence. I also have served as the director of a university-wide topical research group, deputy chair of a research-ethics committee, and as a senior member of university senate and various governing committees. From these positions, I have gained much valuable experience in teaching, supervising students, and conducting research.

Field methods - animal capture & handling (e.g., mist nets, net guns, nooses, live traps) ∙ identification & marking ∙ wildlife telemetry (ARGOS & GLOBALSTAR satellite, GPS/GSM, radio-, light-based geolocation) ∙ species occurrence & population estimation (point counts, line transects, distance sampling, mark-recapture, camera trapping) ∙ habitat composition & structure metrics ∙ behavioral observations.
General analytical techniques - movement metrics ∙ biodiversity metrics ∙ inferential movement models ∙ population viability analysis ∙ resource selection ∙ habitat occupancy.
Statistics: univariate, multivariate, randomization, time-series analysis, and model selection methods (e.g., generalized linear models, mixed-effects models, tests for counts and proportions).
Geographic Information Systems - Experience with a wide range of methods for data capture, storage, manipulation, management, analysis, visualization, and presentation of spatial data in both vector and raster formats.
