About Ted
My name is Dr. Ted Wardell. I am in my 23rd year of education, 17 of which I was in the classroom, and 20 in the role of supervisor (I know... those don't add to 23. There were many years of doing both). I have been tutoring mathematics for probably around 30 years, and not to brag, but I've gotten pretty good at it. I would say my areas of specialty are from middle school mathematics up to Calculus 2. Additionally, I have a great deal of SAT math tutoring experience (I even wrote my dissertation on SAT math preparation). I look forward to being of service and helping you in any way I can.

I am very flexible in how our tutoring sessions will work. Typically, I find that clients are looking for content/skill/exam specific help. With some guidance from you, I can quickly build tutoring plans in real time (or ahead of time if materials/content are shared ahead of time). I believe targeted practice of your desired outcomes is always best. I would say that I have a knack for helping to identify misunderstandings and am able to explain things in a way that works for students.
