About Brent
I'm a former high school literature teacher with a BA in Literary Studies (Minor in Film). Although I left the classroom for the corporate world, I never abandoned my love for literature and writing. I maintain my sharpness as a writer by writing screenplays and reading a variety of fiction and nonfiction works.

I enjoy guiding students through the writing process, from prewriting to the revision stage, helping them to practice formulating and articulating coherent, concise ideas. As a former student and teacher, I enjoy encouraging students to overcome their reluctance to simply begin the writing process. With a nonjudgemental approach, I aim to foster confidence in students while allowing them to make mistakes as they practice and gow as writers. I'm happy to work with middle school through university level students of all abilities.
