About Charlie
I am an experienced ESL educator with a strong academic and professional teaching background. I have taught English at multiple colleges and have worked internationally, including teaching English to government agents in foreign countries. These roles required a high level of professionalism, cultural awareness, and precision in language instruction. In addition to my teaching experience, I have personally learned another language fluently as an adult. This firsthand experience allows me to understand the challenges students face, from building confidence to mastering grammar and pronunciation. I use this insight to create lessons that are structured, practical, and encouraging. My teaching style is clear, supportive, and goal-oriented. I prioritize accuracy while maintaining a comfortable learning environment where students feel confident practicing English. I use a student-centered, communicative approach focused on practical, real-life English. Lessons are tailored to each learner’s goals, level, and learning style, with an emphasis on speaking confidence, clear grammar explanations, and supportive correction.
I bring extensive teaching experience, including working with government agents in foreign countries and teaching at multiple colleges. Having learned another language fluently as an adult, I understand firsthand the challenges of language learning and apply that insight to my teaching.
