I have been with Bakr for almost 5 years now. He has improved my grade in maths from coming to him at a 5/6 on GCSE level, and achieving an 8 at GCSE. Now I do A level maths, as he had also improved my admiration for maths, making me want to pursue it at a level, which I am now getting an A/B. I could never wish for a better tutor as he helps you understand the origins of maths, and creating pathways where maths seems so much more simpler to a student, and this learning for me has also improved my liking and enjoyment of maths. Thank you Bakr and I would really recommend him!

My daughter started taking maths lessons with Bakr when she was 12 after he was recommended to us by a neighbour. We felt she was capable but lacked confidence after homeschooling during Covid. She has now finished her GCSEs, and the confidence and application she gained from her time with Bakr goes way beyond what we could have imagined—and not just in maths. We can honestly say that she looked forward to every lesson, despite her mean parents choosing the Saturday morning class . The passion Bakr has for his profession is a real inspiration.

I started going to Bakr in Year 10 and am currently still going to this day in my final year of college. Bakr has helped me exponentially in improving my mathematical ability with his deep understanding of maths, explaining topics from scratch as opposed to how you are normally taught with just formulas. I would recommend Bakr to anyone struggling with maths and who wants to see positive results.

Mr Al Bazi is the most capable maths teacher I’ve ever been taught by. His understanding of Mathematics is so in depth and polished, he ensures that students leave lessons feeling like they can answer any question thrown at them due to his effective problem based learning approach. I started lessons with Mr Al Bazi in year 11 and he took me from an average maths student who was just getting by to someone capable of an A* due to his coherent and in depth teaching of maths, which built my passion for studying the subject at A level. Overall, he is a friendly and welcoming teacher who builds a good, professional relationship with his students ensuring they enjoy maths and therefore achieve the top grades
