About Brodie
I studied English as an undergraduate degree at Oxford. While there I wrote on a range of texts from Beowulf to Joyce. my dissertation focused on unreliable narrators in 21st century novels from post-dictatorial societies.
After this I became a full time teacher at one of the best co-ed independent schools in the country. This experience included teaching student at GCSE and A Level. I was a teacher during COVID and so have extensive experience with online learning.
I went back to university to study my masters in public policy. This has led to my current role in political consultancy. I have continued to tutor throughout my masters and my current role.
Outside of work I enjoy running and movies.

My lessons designed with presentation tools that allow continuous assessment and feedback. I focus on identifying the weaknesses of the student and take a pragmatic approach through a mix of exercises designed to overcome barriers to success with positive reinforcement.
Lessons typically for 1hr but can be flexible. Experience teaching from ages 11 through to university level. My lessons are energetic and involve active participation from the student.
I have helped guide several students through the Oxbridge and Russell Group university application process, including interview preparation.
I also have experience teaching students with learning disabilities including dyslexia.
