About Hiromi

******************** Fun fact about me! *********************** I am a Japanese teacher as well. You can take advantage of your membership and learn 2 things at the same time! Please message me and we can arrange a virtual lesson at your convenience. I held my first tennis racket at the age of eight and the majority of my time, I spend at a tennis court. Fed up with confusing tennis advice? Not hitting enough tennis balls? Don't see any improvement? I'm here to craft your tennis to the next level virtually. Progression is the key in my coaching style.

About the lesson

Do you want to get a cardio workout? Are you looking to rally but don't have a tennis buddy? You want to play doubles but you don't have a partner? I can be your hitting partner for only £30 per hour. It's up to you! It is always important for me to understand and analyse your level at the beginning of the session. What are your goals? What do you want to achieve? Once I have evaluated your level at the court, I can plan a session that suits your level and help you progress in your tennis. I provide private lessons for up to 4 players. Prices can change, please refer to the price list in the Detail section. Let's play tennis!

Well as I am fairly new to playing tennis hiromi was very patient with me as sometimes I couldnt hit the ball back but with a few tips from hiromi I improved with just a short one hour lesson. I would fully recommend hiromi !

Hiromi has being training tennis as long as she could hold a racket. My mother used to take her to practice since she was a toddler. I have seen her go through professional training herself including training at the IMG academy in Bradenton FL. Her experience with tennis and other professional preparation makes her an excellent tennis coach herself. As her brother you may think I am biased, but as she will also tell you I am her worst critic. Highly recommend taking a class with her!

1) What age did you start playing sport? Tell us about this time or moment in your life.
As far as I remember, I hold my first tennis racket at age of 8 and played tennis daily. My mother was into Tennis and she used to bring me to tennis course since I was born. I think I had spent more time on a tennis court than my home.
2) What are your favourite sports; those that you practice at a high level, a simple hobby, and a sport that you'd still like to discover?
I tried different sports thought out my middle school to highschool. I had played football, basketball, running , sprinting, swimming, skiing, hiking, unicycle, kendo, volleyball, and badminton. During my university, I had the phase to learn self-defense, which I trained BJJ, MMA, kravmaga, and kick boxing . Beside my martial arts fitness, I had tried CrossFit, calisthenics and surfing. Recently, I had tried rock climbing and snowboarding. I would like to try other water sports I haven't tried like canyoning and extreme sports.
3) What gives you the motivation and passion to pursue your sport?
I love tennis. That fact I can hit tennis balls for hours without realizing. I believe tennis makes you push to your limit, taught me to don't give up. It is always unpredictable sports.
4) Do you have a sporting achievement that you're particularly proud of?
Winning my first tennis tournament.
5) How have your achievements and challenges made you a better sportsperson?
Definitely, it taught me in life sometime you win and sometimes you lose. I need to learn from my mistake to improve my techniques.
6) If you had to go for a jog with a famous athlete, who would you choose? And what questions would you ask them?
Serena William. What did she feel before playing championship? How did she managed to play match when she felt lowest point?
7) How do you help people stay motivated?
Positive reinforcement. Set realistic performance goals. Be a role model.
8) What makes you a Superprof in sports?
I enjoy to share my experience and hopefully it is beneficial and help my students. Progression is the key.
