About Reginald
I am Reginald Paige from Los Angeles, California. I graduated from Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina majored in Communication Arts and minored in Chinese Language & Culture. I am working on my masters at Mount Saint Mary's University in Fine Arts. I am able to speak not only English, but Mandarin and Portuguese for I have studied abroad in China to learn Mandarin and I have studied in Brazil to learn Portuguese.
Currently, I work as a freelance private English teacher, freelance screenwriter, and script & video editor. I have a passion to teach English to others and understand the uniqueness of the English language through essays and the creative arts.

I understand that each student will be different. Therefore, I tailor my lessons depending on how fluent the student is and based off what specific skills that needs improvement. My approach is a mix of practical exercises, interactive discussions, and personalized feedback. I emphasize understanding concepts deeply and encourage active participation to reinforce learning. Techniques such as contextual learning, reading classic speeches and literature from different eras. This is in hopes to not only elevate the student's skills in the English language, but open their minds to a bigger world that is in front of us.
What sets me apart from other tutors is that I have, not only, experience teaching and tutoring American students, but I also teach foreign speaker how to read, write, and speak English. Therefore, I must have a good understanding and concept of the rules, both formal and informal, of the English language.
I tutor from Elementary School level through University level. I also offer lessons for non-native speakers who have the desire to learn English as a second or foreign language.
