About Tara
As a lifetime certified tutor through CRLA, I have taught reading and writing across multiple disciplines for over three years. I work with high schoolers, college students, and ESL individuals to improve their reading comprehension and writing skills. With my Creative Writing BFA and my Minor in English, I am well-versed in academic expectations, style guides, and grammar, and I am eager to help my students improve their academic confidence.

At the beginning of every tutoring session, I review the assignment details as well as the student's concerns before getting down to work. They point out some questions they want us to cover and we work together to prioritize those concerns with the ones I might see in their work. I don't believe in lecturing my students; rather, my one-on-one lessons are very much a conversation between myself and the student.
