About Will
I had a very unorthodox life until we started a family and settled in SW Scotland.
School and university in France and later refining my GCSE Spanish in South America has meant languages and communication have kind of defined my career.
I have been to almost half the countries on Earth, sailed the oceans as a professional sailor, and was a bilingual broadcast journalist for 15 years in France and Monaco.
Radio led to a lot of interesting side hustles including live bilingual commentary on big air snow sports competitions, grass polo and snow polo amongst others.
I have also recorded a lot of advertising in English and French, often using the opposing accent.
French people I speak French to always assume I’m french from my accent, without being able to tell where my neutral accent is from.

Everyone learns best in different ways, and on different days.
Having gone to school in France aged 7 speaking no French, I learnt very quickly because I had to.
The French parrot-fashion method is not for everyone and I found it okay but it didn’t work for my dyslexic brother.
I remember best the teachers/lecturers who inspired me during my schooling and university, instead of just teaching me, and I aim to emulate that approach.
