About Zoe
My relationship with the French language began with a fascination for how language reflects culture, history, and human thought. This interest led me to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in French Cultural Studies, followed by a Master’s degree in Advanced Linguistics, where I explored how meaning, structure, and expression work together in communication. Over 11 years of teaching, I have worked with learners from diverse backgrounds, guiding them through both technical mastery and expressive confidence.
I believe language education should be thoughtful, human-centered, and deeply respectful of individual learning journeys. Every student brings unique goals, insecurities, and strengths, and I take time to understand these elements before shaping lessons. I prioritize clarity, patience, and encouragement, helping learners feel supported rather than judged as they grow.
Beyond teaching, I remain deeply connected to French through literature, cultural research, language analysis, and continued academic exploration. Teaching French is profoundly rewarding to me because I witness learners gain not only linguistic skill, but also confidence in expressing complex ideas and emotions. Supporting that personal and intellectual growth continues to shape my passion for education.

My French lessons are structured to help learners develop a clear, confident, and deeply rooted understanding of the language. I focus on grammar logic, verb systems, sentence rhythm, pronunciation accuracy, and vocabulary expansion so students see how French functions as an interconnected system. Lessons progress patiently, allowing learners to absorb concepts fully before moving forward. I create a supportive atmosphere where curiosity is encouraged and mistakes are treated as part of the learning journey.
As learners advance, lessons expand into complex tense usage, idiomatic expressions, reading comprehension, structured writing, and guided conversation practice. Cultural references, authentic texts, and contextual examples are integrated to make learning meaningful and relevant. Speaking practice develops gradually, ensuring learners feel confident expressing ideas clearly and naturally.
French learning also builds confidence and cultural awareness. Many learners begin thinking directly in French and communicating with ease. My goal is to help students feel capable, expressive, and proud of their progress while developing a lifelong connection to the language.
