About Diana

I hold a BA in French Studies and an MA in Applied Linguistics, with 8 years of experience teaching French to students of all levels. My expertise includes grammar instruction, conversational fluency, reading comprehension, essay writing, pronunciation, and cultural knowledge. I design lessons that combine structured learning, interactive practice, and authentic cultural exposure to foster confident, articulate, and culturally aware French speakers. I emphasize individualized instruction, adaptability, and encouragement. Lessons integrate role-play, discussions, multimedia content, reading, and writing exercises to enhance comprehension, expression, and communication skills. Outside the classroom, I engage with Francophone literature, media, and current cultural developments to ensure lessons are relevant, dynamic, and engaging. I mentor students for academic exams, professional communication, and immersive cultural experiences. Witnessing learners gain fluency, confidence, and appreciation for French language and culture is profoundly rewarding. My goal is to cultivate mastery, expressiveness, and practical skill in French while inspiring a lifelong interest in the language and its cultural contexts.

About the lesson

French lessons are structured to strengthen speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities while fostering cultural understanding. I emphasize grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, idiomatic expressions, conversation practice, and comprehension through interactive exercises, discussions, role-playing, and multimedia resources. I aim to make French accessible and enjoyable by connecting lessons to real-life situations, cultural contexts, and daily experiences. My teaching encourages learners to take risks, express ideas confidently, and engage with the language authentically in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Lessons are tailored to proficiency levels. Beginners focus on pronunciation, basic sentence structure, essential vocabulary, and simple dialogues. Intermediate learners expand their grammar, conversational fluency, comprehension skills, and written expression. Advanced students work on complex texts, essay writing, debates, translation, and cultural nuances. Each session combines structured exercises, creative engagement, and practical application to build confidence and fluency.

Students develop strong communication skills, cultural literacy, and confidence in French. I support learners in applying language skills in professional, academic, and social settings, incorporating listening comprehension, conversation drills, and expressive reading. My goal is to cultivate self-assured, fluent, and culturally aware French speakers capable of navigating real-life contexts, expressing themselves precisely, and appreciating the richness of Francophone culture.
