About Iris
Bonjour !
I’m a French native speaker from Aix-en-Provence, the south of France.
I love travelling and discovering new cultures. I have always felt passionate towards languages.
I obtained a Master's degree in Teaching French as a Foreign Language in 2016.
I have significant experience in teaching the French language, from beginners to advanced speakers across different age ranges. I worked as a French assistant in a Secondary School in London, from 2015 to 2018. I have also taught in nurseries, primary schools and provide private lessons.
I’ve spent the last couple of years travelling in Australia and I had the opportunity to be a french tutor in Melbourne.

Being a foreigner myself I understand that learning a new language takes a lot of practice and also patience. That's why my lessons are always varied, enjoyable and suit each student's needs.
I use real-life resources like newspapers, TV shows/movies, songs… and encourage students to speak in French as much as possible, allowing them to speak like a true French person.
I love sharing and I want the student to feel comfortable during the lesson. Lesson that I would rather imagine as a french rendez-vous where you can exchange and discover about France in a pleasant atmosphere. Indeed I believe it's easier and more efficient to learn a language when the student is having a good time.
