About Nicole
I am passionate about young people and enjoy seeing individuals learn at their own pace, improving themselves and flourishing in the process. I am patient and I encourage students to volunteer answers even if they make mistakes. I reassure them by telling them that making mistakes is part of learning. I give students time to retrieve knowledge as well as time to think before they answer especially when they think they don't know. I love to guide their thinking without giving them the answer. Students will get regular feedback on how well they are doing but also what they need to do next to do even better. I work hard but also enjoy a bit of humour.

A range of activities such as presenting new vocabulary and/or language structures, guiding learners to work out the meaning, mimes, bingo, dominoes, Jacques a dit, code breaking games and role-plays will be used during lessons. Some activities will focus on recalling previous knowledge and others on adapting newly learned structures. Learners will be encourage to observe language patterns, to make connections and to analyse how the language works. Learners will lead the pace of work, reflect on how they learn best and will have a say on the planning of the lessons which will be 1 hour for students from 11 to 15 years preparing for (I)GCSE.
