About Paul
Passionate about languages, I worked as a mechanical engineer for 5 years in Singapore, after 2 years of studies in China. In China I taught conversational French for two semesters in group classes of 20 people, 4 hours a week at Xi'an Jiaotong University. In Singapore, I taught French to my Chinese wife and reaffirmed my talent and passion for teaching. In 2020 in Mexico during the Pandemic, I voluntarily taught French and English to children from the village of Zipolite and to local artisan friends. Now in San Cristóbal Mexico, my new home, I teach French to Spanish-speaking or Anglo-Saxon children and adults, when I am not focusing on writing music and singing.

It all depends on the level of the student and what he wants to achieve! My classes must serve my students but above all they must be fun, without forgetting of course the academic side to speak this wonderful language correctly.
For beginners: I create simple dialogues to set the student in real conversation situations and build a solid argumentative base.
To intermediate : We focus on articles on French culture, or on a subject chosen by the student. We can also analyze songs, videos ... whatever the student prefers!
As a didactic tool, I invented a way of teaching walking down the street: we speak in French about what we see and we value learning along the walk .... great fun for those who want to break the fear of speaking!
I like to give grammar and writing assignments between each class to motivate the student.

Las clases de Paul son excelentes... Tiene un pizarrón virtual, una tabla de vocabulario y un cuaderno de apuntes donde queda registrado todo lo que se ve en clase para su posterior repaso... En sus clases no hay desperdicio: se trabaja la gramática, la pronunciación y se aprende vocabulario familiar. Muy recomendable!
