Bonjour! My name is Cecile G. I am a UK-qualified French teacher with 12 years of experience teaching adults and school pupils (GCSE & A-Level). My Approach to Tutoring
I take a student-centred approach, tailoring every lesson to each learner’s goals and level. Whether you’re an adult wanting to gain confidence in conversation or a pupil preparing for GCSE or A-Level French, I focus on practical, engaging, and results-driven lessons.
Techniques & Methodology:
Active conversation practice to build fluency and confidence
Exam-focused strategies for pupils, including mark-scheme analysis, past papers, and oral preparation
Interactive tools such as digital whiteboards, quizzes, and role-plays to make learning fun and memorable
Structured feedback after each lesson to track progress and set clear targets
Lesson Length:
Adults: 1 hour standard (flexible depending on your goals)
Pupils: 30–45 minutes for GCSE, 45 minutes for A-Level
Small groups: 45–60 minutes, designed to maximise speaking practice while keeping attention focused
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualified French teacher with 6 years classroom experience
Experienced in teaching adults, teenagers, and exam-focused pupils
Background includes both academic teaching and real-world language use.
