About Hugo

Growing up in the vibrant cities of Paris and Sète, I was immersed in a rich tapestry of French culture and language from an early age, thanks to my French father and English mother. This unique bilingual upbringing ignited my passion for language and communication, as I navigated the nuances of both cultures. Teaching French allows me to share my love for the language and its cultural heritage with others, helping students unlock new opportunities and experiences. I find immense joy in guiding learners through their language journey, fostering their confidence, and watching them thrive as they connect with the beauty of the French language. My goal is to make learning French an enjoyable and rewarding experience, empowering students to appreciate the language as I do.

About the lesson

As a native French speaker, I offer a unique and authentic approach to learning French. While I don't hold formal teaching qualifications, my cultural and linguistic fluency provides students with an immersive and practical language experience that offers exceptional value for money.

Class Structure:
-Length: Classes are typically 60-90 minutes long, allowing ample time for in-depth learning and practice.
-Frequency: Sessions can be scheduled weekly or bi-weekly, depending on the student's goals and availability.

Content and Methodology
My teaching approach focuses on real-world application and cultural immersion:
-Conversation-based learning: Classes emphasize speaking and listening skills through natural conversations.
-Practical vocabulary: Focus on useful, everyday French words and phrases.
-Grammar in context: Grammar concepts are introduced organically within real-life scenarios.

Cultural insights: Lessons incorporate French culture, customs, and current events to provide a comprehensive understanding of the language.

Multimedia resources: Utilization of French music, films, news articles, and literature to enhance learning.

The Native Speaker Advantage
As a native French speaker, I offer:
-Authentic pronunciation and intonation guidance
-Up-to-date colloquialisms and idiomatic expressions
-Nuanced cultural context that textbooks often miss
-Real-life anecdotes and experiences from France
