About Gillian

My interest in French developed through literature studies, intercultural communication, and travel experiences during university education. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Languages before earning a Master’s Degree in French Cultural Communication. Over the last 6 years, I have helped students improve fluency through supportive teaching and practical communication methods.

I believe every learner develops differently, so I adapt lessons according to learning style, confidence level, and communication goals. Some students improve through speaking and listening activities, while others benefit more from grammar explanation and structured exercises. My teaching style focuses on patience, encouragement, and natural language growth.

Outside teaching, I enjoy reading francophone literature, studying cultural history, and exploring modern French media. Staying connected to the language helps me bring authentic examples into lessons. Teaching French is meaningful to me because I enjoy helping students communicate confidently and naturally.

About the lesson

My French lessons focus on helping students communicate comfortably through structured learning and practical speaking activities. I teach pronunciation, grammar foundations, vocabulary building, listening comprehension, sentence formation, and conversational French through interactive exercises that make learning approachable and enjoyable. Lessons are supportive, engaging, and designed to improve confidence steadily.

Beginners strengthen their communication skills through pronunciation practice, repetition activities, and guided dialogues that gradually improve fluency. Intermediate learners work on grammar accuracy, smoother conversation flow, and listening confidence through roleplays and discussion tasks. Advanced students focus on fluent communication, cultural understanding, and natural expression through deeper conversational practice and real-world speaking exercises.

I encourage students to practice actively instead of depending only on memorization. Lessons support confidence, curiosity, and practical communication while helping learners improve naturally. My goal is to help students become expressive, relaxed, and confident French speakers.
