About Maria

I started doing private tuition during my A-Levels (2013-2015). In my summer in 2018, during my internship, I used my weekends in teaching Grade 4-5 refugee kids for Maths and Geography. Currently, I am actively tutoring Maths to 3 students from Grade 7-9.

About the lesson

I usually like to initially explain the concepts and real-life situations, so students can understand the importance of the topic. Then, I will demonstrate some examples first-hand, then let the student try some questions on their own. Sometimes, I like to use quizzes online and do the quizzes along with the student to enhance the interaction and let them enjoy simultaneously.

She was not only an amazing senior of mine in university, she's also a great teacher who has the ability to explain and break down complex concepts into smaller bite sized chunks effectively.
