About Mike

I am a working professional who loves the English language, and I aspire to be a teacher or tutor in the future. Currently I have obtained the TEFL certificate, Teaching English as a Foreign Language and I am passionate about teaching. I believe that teaching is a great way to share knowledge and help students reach their full potential. During my time as a student in ELS Language Center in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia many years ago, my foreign classmates would come to me for help with English pronunciation and grammar. My strong command in English is noticeable wherever I go, therefore I find that many of my international friends would turn to me when they need English guidance, and I really enjoy teaching whenever I can! I would love to be able to help you in your English language journey, whether it is a casual or more specific learning journey.

About the lesson

Concentrate on practical skills based on the student's English level including speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Be encouraging and patient. Practice, practice, and more practice. Make it fun by including interesting topics, games, and activities. My lessons will be typically around 60 minutes, although the length can be adjusted to meet my students needs and schedules. I am open to teaching at all levels to those who need to strengthen the language to travel abroad, or for work or university study and I am happy to work with students of all ages.
