About Shione
Konnichiwa, I'm Shione :) I was born and grew up in Japan. After I graduated a university in Kyoto, Japan, I moved to Australia to work as an assistant Japanese teacher as I completed a course of teaching Japanese as my minor at my university. I have worked at both primary and high schools in Melbourne, Australia for 3.5 years as an assistant Japanese teacher, and I enjoyed it a lot. Mainly I worked with year 11 and 12 students for their SACs and exam but I also assisted year 2-10 students one-on-one to help facilitate understanding. Also I have taught Japanese using immersion methods at a language school for 2 years. I prepared and delivered the lessons individually or in a group both online and in person for a broad range of skill levels, including VCE students.

As everyone's goals and learning styles are different, how I deliver the lessons will be unique and specific to each students. Let's get to know each other and explore what you aim to achieve or experience in my class for a first lesson!
I offer both 1-hour and 2-hour lessons, but for the little learners, I recommend a 30-minute session. My lessons can be all in Japanese, English or a combination of both!
For VCE students, we can focus on various aspects such as listening, grammar (translation practice/revision), kaiwa (speaking practice and drafting for the oral exam), kanji (we can conduct a test if you'd like), reading, writing, or prepare together for your SACs :)
