About Victoria

Hi! My name is Victoria and I am from Southern California. I am easygoing, flexible, and friendly, and I love meeting people and sharing my knowledge with others.

The ukulele was the first instrument I learned back in 5th grade. Our teacher would give us classes every week after school as he shared his passion for this joyous Hawaiian instrument affectionally known as "the jumping flea." My parents purchased me my first ukulele so I could continue my lessons and practice at home.

I later went on to learn guitar in high school, but I still think the ukulele is the perfect beginner's instrument for anyone learning an instrument for the first time or looking to get to know the stringed instruments family. I taught ukulele during university as a side job, and now that I am a digital nomad, I would love to reach people from around the world and share my love of music!

About the lesson

Any age is welcome to join! This course is geared towards beginner levels - whether it's your first time picking up an instrument or whether you dabble around and are looking for more structured courses now. I am open to adapting to whatever teaching style suits you best, just communicate to me how you prefer to learn :)

Each week, we will learn new chords to build your repertoire, and we’ll learn a new song each week to apply what you learned. I'll also teach strumming patterns, as well a bit about the history and culture of ukuleles.
