About Sansthita

I am a Chemistry student at the University of Southampton with exceptional grades at Alevels and GCSEs who has experience tutoring in the past but Superprof is a new medium for me and I look forward to reaching out to more people. In the past I have tutored in Maths, Chemistry, Physics and Biology at GCSE and Keystage 2 and 3 and Maths, Chemistry and Physics at Level. I have been a tutor since 2015 and am extremely confident in my abilities to communicate ad teach new topics and subjects to different students with an approach that is unique to their needs.

About the lesson

My logical and analytical methods are exactly what most students are looking for from a tutor; be that a 'just want to get the grades' scenario, or a more extensive approach where we pursue a deeper understanding of the subject. Of course, most students fall in the middle, and I am more than happy to accommodate any specific needs. I am also of the belief that if a student doesn't understand a topic, it is not their fault, but the need for the tutor to try a different approach at teaching that topic. I believe that as long as someone has the interest in learning they can achieve their goals, no matter how high they are. I am encouraging patient will all my students and happily welcome their questions and queries as no one learns without asking questions.

My lessons are normally structured in a way which allow the students learning to consolidate their new knowledge.
Usually, at the start of the lesson (based on each student) we will usually learn a new topic (eg, addition). This is where the pupil will be taught the concept of the topic, the method and the meaning of it.
The middle of the lesson normally is for the student and I to explore this topic together. We will do a few examples together as I talk them through the first couple. (eg, do a few addition questions at different difficulties) This is the chance for me to gauge the understanding the student has gained of this topic and to focus on the areas where the knowledge is more lacking. This is also where the pupil can ask their own questions to clear up any confusion.
Normally by the end of the lesson the pupil will be doing some examples on their own and consolidating their understanding. This then would lead to us evaluating the lesson and set some targets for the next lesson. (eg, some practice of the questions).
My students are happy to ask questions when they don't understand something and at any point of the lesson, I will try to teach the topic from different angles until the student has a clear understanding of what is being taught and can apply their knowledge on their own.
